The majority of brands were categorized in Clothing and Accessories category with 201 unique brands creating the bestseller list during the Christmas week. There were 189 brands in ‘Automotive’ and ‘Video Games’.
The category of “Toys & Games” saw the most growth in terms of company count. During the week of Christmas, the line chart below illustrates the number of unique brands for each Amazon Canada top category.
Best Performing Brand On Amazon Canada During Christmas Week
With 34 unique bestselling products, Nintendo had some of the most unique products sold throughout the Christmas week. Throughout the week, the games “Minecraft for Nintendo Switch,” “New Super Mario Bros,” and the Joy-Con Switch Controller were among the top sellers. With 19 items each, Amazon and Samsung were in second place.
Amazon’s best-selling items include the Echo Dot, Fire HD 8 Tablet, and Fire TV Stick.

Most Viewed Products
During Christmas week, the Carhartts Men’s Insulated Glove received the most positive feedbacks. It received 9K Amazon reviews in just 7 days.
Every day of Christmas week, Barack Obama’s book “The Promised Land” was indeed the second most praised product on the bestseller list, with reviews appearing every day. The SanDisk MicroSDXC card, Snow Jow Telescoping Snow Broom, and two variants of the Seagate Portable Hard Drive were the next items on the list.
Average Rating Of Top 5 Brands On Amazon Canada
Nintendo seemed to have the greatest average rating of 4.7 throughout the Christmas week. The overall average for Amazon and Amazon Basics was 4.6 and 4.4, respectively. Hanes, a clothing firm, received the lowest average rating among the leading brands, ranging from 4.2 to 4.3 stars.

On December 18th, there were 316 Amazon sellers, but by December 26th, that number had dropped to 279 sellers. During the Christmas week in Canada, Amazon.ca was the largest seller, accounting for 56 % of all popular products on Amazon.

Under the Amazon Canada bestseller list, there were a total 41 unique products under the Amazon brands – Amazon, Amazon Basics, and Amazon Essentials.
Amazon’s most popular items are found in the categories of “Tools & Home Improvement” and “Electronics,” while Amazon Basics items are spread throughout five bestselling categories.
The majority of bestselling Amazon-branded products seemed to have an average rating of 4.4 to 4.6 stars. During Christmas week, three Amazon goods — the Echo Dot, Fire HD 8 Tablet, and Fire
TV Stick – were in the top ten.
